La teta y la luna (The tit and the moon, in Catalan La teta i la lluna ) is a Spanish erotic drama from 1994 by Bigas Luna , which works with surrealistic inserts.
action
Tete, around ten years old, lives with his parents in a Catalan coastal town. He first reacts to the newborn brother with rejection and soon also with envy, because the mother breastfeeds the little one. In conversations with the moon, Tete developed the dream of having a breast that nourishes him with milk all to himself.
Further events are told from Tete's point of view. A couple of jugglers and their caravan settle on the beach, the Portuguese Estrellita and her older husband, the French Maurice. They perform ballet and arrows-shooting tricks at the fair and amuse the audience with loud farts. Tete falls in love with Estrellita and imagines a stream of milk from her breast filling his mouth. But he's not the only admirer who is constantly looking for her close: Miguel, a tough guy from the neighborhood, sings flamenco songs in front of the caravan and is getting on Maurice's nerves more and more. Due to a lack of virility, Maurice is no longer able to please his young wife. For a while he allows Miguel to climb her, then he locks her in the trailer. He's fighting with Miguel. Estrellita and Maurice swear eternal love again and leave the place without saying goodbye. Tete proves in a test of courage that he has cojones , and finally fantasizes that Estrellita and his mother let him suckle on their breasts.
