The Death Riders of Darfur (USA 2007) by Ricki Stern and Anne Sundberg is the German title of the American documentary The Devil Came On Horseback . The film informs about the ongoing Darfur conflict in Sudan . It is based on the book of the same name by former US Marine Captain Brian Steidle and his experiences as an unarmed military observer in Darfur for the African Union . The film premiered in mid-2007. The documentary is a break-thru films production in collaboration with Global Grassroots and Three Generations.
The cinema release in Germany was on August 28, 2008.
