Theo, traumatized by the death of his ten-year-old daughter, lives as a homeless person under the Wittelsbacher Bridge in Munich . To get over the pain of the trauma, he seeks solace in alcohol.

Theo's situation changes when ten-year-old Alina joins him. She is originally from Bulgaria , speaks no German and fled from her tormentors. Theo doesn't want to take care of her at first, because he has to think about his daughter, then gradually begins to be a kind of father to Alina anyway.
