The Blind Spider (Original Title: No Road Back ) is a British crime film directed by Montgomery Tully from 1957 with Skip Homeier , Paul Carpenter , Patricia Dainton and Norman Wooland in the lead roles. The film was made by Gibraltar Films Ltd. produced. Alfie Bass and Sean Connery play supporting roles .

Mrs. Railton, who is blind and deaf, runs an iron regiment as the owner of a disco. She uses any means to finance the medical education of her son John. Like a blind spider in its web, it leads a band of diamond thieves. When John returns from school, his mother wants to land one last big coup. But things are getting unpredictably out of hand. A security guard is killed during a robbery. John is informed of their complicity by his mother, and the situation escalates completely.

Production notes

Philip Martell was the musical director. The sound editing comes from WH Lindop, the costumes were provided by Evelyn Gibbs, the buildings were designed by John Stoll . George Claff and Nina Broe were responsible for the masks and hairstyles. Robert E. Dearing was in charge of production. The film was set in Nettlefold Studios, Walton-on-Thames , in Surrey , England .
