The Thin Girls is a documentary by Maria Teresa Camoglio that was released in 2008 .

action

Eight women between the ages of 18 and 29 begin therapy in a clinic aimed at curing their eating disorder, anorexia . The film illuminates the therapy discussions and the joint ventures through which the causes of eating disorders that have existed for many years are to be found and the disease to be overcome. The film also shows why it is so difficult to overcome this disease.

Production notes

The film was produced by Chiaroscuro Filmproduktion (Berlin) and had its premiere on June 24, 2008 at the Munich Film Festival . It started in German cinemas on January 15, 2009 and ran on German television for the first time on May 17, 2009 on 3sat .
