Diego Matias Hypólito (born June 19, 1986 in Santo André ) is a Brazilian artistic gymnast . His best single pieces of equipment are floor and jump. On November 26, 2005, Hypólito became the first Brazilian world champion in artistic gymnastics in Melbourne . He then won the silver medal at the 2006 World Championships in Aarhus (Denmark) on the ground. At the 2007 World Cup in Stuttgart , he won the gold medal on the ground. Four years later in Tokyo he won bronze on the same device.

At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro , Hypólito won the silver medal with 15.533 points on the ground.

His older sister Daniele is also a gymnast.
