Diego Jardel Koester (born December 26, 1989 in Águas Mornas , Santa Catarina ) is a Brazilian football player . The left foot is mainly used in attacking midfield.

Career

Diego Jardel received his football training with Figueirense FC and Camboriú FC . From the second, the player was loaned to Portugal in 2008 when he was still a teenager. Here his first stop was the junior division of the União Leiria . A year later he moved on to FC Arouca on loan . With the club he became champions of the third division at the end of the season. Jardel did not take part in promotion to the second division, he remained in the third division on loan from FC Vizela .

The loan ended after the season and Diego Jardel returned to Brazil in 2011. Here the player was loaned out again. He came to CN Marcílio Dias . After another intermediate stadium, Avaí FC signed him in 2013 . He enters his first league match in Brazil with the club on May 8, 2013 against América Mineiro in the Série B . He scored his first goal in the league in the game against CA Bragantino on August 7, 2013 in the 36th minute to make it 1-1. With Avaí he was in the 2014 season in fourth in the Série B. This place qualified for promotion to the Series A . Jardel was loaned to Botafogo FR for the 2015 season, which was relegated to Série B for the year. At the club he played 34 games and scored four goals. At the end of the season, Jardel was able to celebrate the championship in Série B. Again he did not make the promotion to the Série A because he had to return to Avaì , who played second class again in 2016.

For the 2017 season, Avaí made it to the Série A. At the start of the year, Jardel made 16 appearances in the state championship of Santa Catarina and other competitions, in which he scored a goal. On June 19, 2017 it was announced that the player is expected to move to Al-Arabi (Qatar) . On July 5, 2017, the move was confirmed by the President of Avaí. For the 2019/20 season, Jardel moved to the UAE to al-Dhafra to compete in the UAE Arabian Gulf League .
