Diehlo (also written Dielo on old maps , Lower Sorbian: Źělow ) was an independent municipality in the German state of Brandenburg until 1993 . Diehlo has been part of Eisenhüttenstadt since it was incorporated . In 1875 353 people lived in Diehlo, in 1946 there were 538 and in 1992, shortly before the incorporation, there were 268 inhabitants.

Location and surroundings

The village is about five kilometers southwest of Eisenhüttenstadt and is separated from it by the Diehloer mountains , which are up to 116 meters high . Neighboring places are Möbiskruge in the south and Fünfeichen in the west .

On December 6, 1993 Diehlo was incorporated into Eisenhüttenstadt.

Internet expansion

After the resolution "Brandenburg Glasfaser 2020" it was decided for Diehlo that a fiber optic cable (50 megabits per second) should be available by the end of March 2015. The expansion will be carried out by Deutsche Telekom .
