Dieter Angst (born February 27, 1937 in Stuttgart ) is a German lawyer and former ministerial official .

Life

Angst attended the Eberhard-Ludwigs-Gymnasium in Stuttgart , where he graduated from high school in 1956, after which he studied law at the universities in Tübingen and Stuttgart , which he completed with two state legal exams . He then embarked on a civil service career in the Baden-Württemberg state service. From 1977 to 1985 he was head of the personnel department in the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg , from 1985 to 1986 Vice-President of the Tübingen administrative region and from 1986 to 1987 Vice-President of the Stuttgart administrative region . From 1987 to 1990 he worked as a ministerial director in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Environment . After the reorganization of the Free State of Saxony , he was State Secretary in the Saxon Ministry for the Environment and State Development from 1990 to 1996 under Ministers Karl Weise and Arnold Vaatz .

After his retirement, Angst acted as managing director of the Baden-Württemberg Monument Foundation from 1998 to 2013 . From 1999 to 2008 he was first chairman of the Swabian section of the German Alpine Club .

Dieter Angst is married to Helma, b. Huber, and has four children.
