Karl Weise (politician)

Karl Otto Weise (born September 6, 1926 in Pegau ; † October 27, 2011 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1990 to 1991 he was Saxon State Minister for the Environment and Regional Development and during this time also a member of the Saxon State Parliament .

Life

As attended the elementary school and then the secondary school Helmholtz school in Leipzig . After 42 months in captivity, he passed his Abitur at the Helmholtz School in Leipzig in 1949. He then studied veterinary medicine from 1950 to 1955 at the Justus Liebig University in Gießen , where he became a member of the Darmstadtia Landsmannschaft . He completed his studies with a state examination and then also obtained a doctorate . Since 1955 he worked as a veterinarian. However, after he suffered an accident at work in 1986 , he was only able to practice this profession partially and has been a disability pensioner ever since.

politics

Weise only became politically active after the reunification, when he was elected to the Saxon state parliament as a direct candidate in constituency 15 (Borna I) in the state elections in Saxony in 1990 . He was appointed the first Saxon State Minister for Environment and Regional Development, which office he held until December 31, 1991. Then he was State Minister with special tasks until April 6, 1993. He was a member of the Saxon state parliament only during the first electoral period (1990 to 1994) .
