Dieter Bokeloh (born January 28, 1942 in Benneckenstein (Harz) , County of Hohenstein , Province of Saxony , Prussia ) is a former German ski jumper .

Career

Bokeloh, who started for the ASK Vorwärts Oberhof , celebrated his first success at the GDR championships in 1961. There he won the silver medal behind Werner Lesser from the normal hill. In the same year he started in December at the Four Hills Tournament 1961/62 . After a 34th place in Innsbruck , he surprisingly landed fourth in Bischofshofen on the Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze . However, since he was not allowed to compete in the jumping competitions in Oberstdorf and Garmisch as a GDR jumper, it was only enough to finish 65th in the overall ranking of the tour. Also in the Four Hills Tournament 1962/63 he did not start in all competitions, but only in Innsbruck, where he finished 11th. He reached 69th place overall. At the GDR championships in 1963 in Klingenthal , he finished 10th. In the same year he won the ski flying week, an international competition on ski jumping hills all over Europe.

At the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck , he landed on the Bergiselschanze with jumps of 92, 83 and 83.5 meters, just behind the medal ranks in fourth place. A short time later he won bronze at the GDR championships. He succeeded in doing this again two years later. At the Four Hills Tournament in 1965/66 he started all four competitions for the first time and took 19th place in the overall tournament ranking and thus achieved his best result.

At the GDR championships in 1967 he won bronze together with Dieter Neuendorf , Alfred Lesser and Martin Weber in the team competition.
