Dieter Kühr (born November 14, 1941 ) is a German clarinetist and teacher .

Life

Kühr studied clarinet with Ernst Flackus in Würzburg and with Heinrich Geuser in Berlin. In 1965 he won the 2nd prize in the competition of the German music academies in Cologne.

As a clarinetist and teacher, Kühr was not only active at German conservatories, but also in Switzerland at the Im Thurn'sche Stiftung Schaffhausen and at the Universidad Musical del Tolima de Colombia . His general tendency towards open movements in life also included a pedagogical degree. As part of clarinet education in Germany, he worked with Jost Michaels and Joachim Vetter to develop a contemporary curriculum for the Association of German Music Schools , including a new version of the list of literature for young people who make music .
