Dieter Lösgen

Dieter Lösgen (born August 14, 1942 in Metz , Lorraine ) is a Jiu Jitsu teacher and national trainer in the German Jiu Jitsu Association. V. (DJJB). He is a founding member and current President of the Korporation Internationaler Danträger e. V. (KID) and the DJJB. In addition, D. Lösgen is the representative of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Jiu-Jitsu World Association United Nations of Ju-Jitsu (UNJJ). Dieter Lösgen is a full-time physiotherapist and alternative practitioner with his own practice in Essen , North Rhine-Westphalia .

In 1960 Dieter Lösgen is a founding member of the judo and jiu-jitsu association Bushido Mülheim e. V. , 1972 further founding member of the KID, then 1975 founding member of the DJJB . He was appointed national coach of the DJJB in 1980; 1986 he is the founder of the Jiu-Jitsu-Verein TBF Bushido Frintrop / Essen e. V. From 1985 to 2018 he was President of the KID and the DJJB, and from 1992 to 2018 the representative for Germany in the UNJJ.

Career

Dieter Lösgen was born in 1942 as the son of Roland Lösgen (* 1905, † 1977) and his wife Auguste born. Warm (born June 23, 1913 - January 11, 2006) in Metz / Lorraine. As a 10-year-old in 1953, under Hans-Gert Niederstein, he began judo training at TUS 87 Alstaden, in Oberhausen, and from 1956 onwards, additionally with Jiu-Jitsu training. Many demonstrations in Jiu Jitsu with H.-G. Niederstein followed in the Oberhausen area between 1957 and 1959.

In 1960 Dieter Lösgen obtained the 1st Dan in Judo and Jiu Jitsu; In the same year he joins the newly founded association Bushido Mülheim e. V. , of which he was a member of the successful judo fighting team until 1965. He made one of the first self-defense educational films with H.-G. Niederstein in 1961.

D. Lösgen completed his 18-month military service from 1965 to 1966 in Jagdgeschwader 71 Richthofen in Wittmund . There he occupied 1st and 2nd places in the military championships in welterweight judo . He also took 4th place at the German judo individual championships in 1965. In the same year he was invited to the preparatory courses for the military world championship - due to injury, Dieter Lösgen was unable to take part in the championship himself.

Further graduations follow: 1968 the examination for 1st Dan Jiu Jitsu, 1969 for 2nd Dan. Erich Rahn held the exams for 3rd Dan (1970) and 4th Dan Jiu Jitsu (1972) in Berlin . The exam for the 5th Dan Jiu Jitsu 1975 was also taken in Berlin - this time before Erich Rahn and Robert Tobler . The 6th Dan (1977) and the 7th Dan Jiu Jitsu (1979) were given to D. Lösgen by Robert Tobler in Switzerland after voluntarily demonstrating the examination. The 8th Dan Jiu Jitsu was awarded to Dieter Lösgen in 1983 in Mülheim an der Ruhr by Hans-Gert Niederstein. Two years later, in 1985, Dieter Lösgen was awarded the 9th Dan Jiu Jitsu by his late master and teacher Hans-Gert Niederstein. The 10th Dan - the highest graduation in Jiu Jitsu - and the honorary title " Hanshi " were awarded to D. Lösgen in 1996 by the United Nations of Ju-Jitsu and the International Association for Asian Martial Arts .

Activity as a teacher

In 1968 Dieter Lösgen ended the competitive sport of judo and devoted himself entirely to his main discipline, Jiu Jitsu. In the following years several positions as a teacher in North Rhine-Westphalia follow. Since 1970 he has been a permanent member of the “Dan College”, the Dan examination committee of the KID and the DJJB.

From 1978 to 1980 he was appointed head of the "Landesverband Nordrhein-Westfalen", the deputy president of the DJJB and the KID and the national coach of the DJJB .

With Niederstein's death on November 12, 1985, Dieter Lösgen succeeds him as President of the KID and the DJJB, thereby fulfilling his teacher's testamentary wish. In addition, H.-G. Niederstein awarded the 9th Dan Jiu Jitsu in his will to Dieter Lösgen.

1986 Dieter Lösgen founded the TBF Bushido Frintrop e. V. in the Turnerbund Essen-Frintrop 1903 e. V. in Essen, where he worked at the Bushido Mülheim e. V. teaches.

Dieter Lösgen was a training partner of H.-G. Niederstein has attended national and international courses and has been making an excellent name for himself in Jiu Jitsu on the tatami all over the world since the 1990s - his arm and hand levers in particular have earned him the nickname "Mister Pain" (in German: "Mr. pain") ) brought in.

Awards and honors

  • The "Cross of Merit 1st Class" - an Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany - will be presented to Dieter Lösgen in January 2012 by the North Rhine-Westphalian Sports Minister Ute Schäfer in Düsseldorf.
