The United Nations of Ju-Jitsu ( UNJJ, United Nations of Jiu Jitsu ) is a global, multinational association with the aim of promoting the Japanese martial art Jiu Jitsu through camaraderie, solidarity and friendship.

History and structure

The United Nations of Ju-Jitsu (UNJJ) was founded in Chiny, Belgium in September 1991. He works without profit and has the goal of spreading and developing the scientific knowledge and pedagogy contained in the philosophy of the martial art Jiu Jitsu through friendly relationships.

In the association, the member countries are represented by various national Jiu Jitsu associations, which were founded according to the laws and customs of the countries of origin. The German Jiu Jitsu Federation is a representative for the Federal Republic of Germany in the UNJJ.

Every year the international congress of the UNJJ takes place in one of the member countries , where Jiu Jitsuka from all countries come together for a friendly meeting. During this congress there will be courses with teachers from all countries as well as the UNJJ World Championships in Ju-Jitsu . The competition categories and rules are largely similar to those of the DJJB.
