Dieter Rita Scholl (born October 7, 1952 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German actor, author and chanson interpreter. He mainly appears in androgynous roles.

Life

He has been on stage and in front of the camera since 1978. He became particularly well-known for his participation in the Warner Brothers film Zauber der Venus by István Szabó , in which he played the ballet master alongside Glenn Close , and for the ZDF five-part series Der Schattenmann by Dieter Wedel as Mimi, the gem . He also played a recurring guest role in the RTL series Behind Bars as the seedy drug courier Gina. Also in the feature film Lose your head of Stefan Westerwelle he was seen as a dealer. He has also appeared in several documentaries on LGBT issues.

He appeared on stage in the play DIVA - between 2 stools , which he wrote himself and which was performed in Munich, Frankfurt / Main and Berlin, among others. In the ensemble play Women Never Sleep , an adaptation of the feature film The Women of George Cukor , he played a junior writer, and in The Cage by Rick Cluchey he played the insane mass murderer Hatchet. He also worked with an international team of performers in Gritty Glamor at Ballhaus Naunynstraße in Berlin.

Since 2004 he has also performed with chanson programs, which are often homages to divas and include French songs.

Dieter Rita Scholl has lived in Berlin since 1988 .
