Dieter Wagner (economist)

Dieter Wagner (born September 25, 1947 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German economist .

Life

Wagner initially completed training as an organizational programmer . He made up his Abitur on the second educational path . From 1970 to 1974, he studied economics and social sciences at the University of Giessen and in 1978 with a thesis on economic The institutionalized conflict in multi-dimensional organizational structures of socio-technical systems to Dr. rer. pole. PhD. After completing his habilitation , he was Professor of Human Resources at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg from 1985 to 1993 .

Wagner moved to the University of Potsdam , where he took over the chair for business administration with a focus on organization and human resources in 1993 . From 1999 to 2004 and from 2007 to 2011 he was Vice President for Knowledge and Technology Transfer at the University of Potsdam. In 2012 he retired. In 1999 he was founding director of the Brandenburg Institute for Business Start-Up Management and SME Promotion (BIEM). He is chairman of the advisory board of Potsdam Transfer and spokesman for the management of the UP Transfer Society for Knowledge and Technology Transfer.

He was the editor-in-chief and publisher of the trade journal Personal .
