Dietrich Hermann von Nagel (* 1621 ; † April 14, 1685 at Haus Vornholz ) was a Münster officer in the service of Prince-Bishop Christoph Bernhard von Galen .

Life

Origin and family

Dietrich Hermann grew up as the son of Georg von Nagel zu Itlingen (1580–1661) and his wife Appolonia von Wendt zu Crassenstein together with his brother Ferdinand († 1687) in the ancient Westphalian noble family von Nagel . On October 13, 1652, he married Margaretha Magdalena von Schilder zu Himminghausen (died July 23, 1675). The children Appolonia Margaretha Magdalene (canon lady in Geseke), Christoph Bernhard and Georg Levin emerged from this marriage. From the marriage on January 31, 1677 with Maria Klara von Billerbeck zu Egelborg (* May 2, 1644 in Egelborg, † August 2, 1701 in Stromberg) the children Franz Adolf , Ferdinand Matthias ,Ferdinand Ignaz and Maria Elisabeth (* 1681, ∞ Johann Bertraud von Etzbach).

Act

In 1650 he was Lieutenant Colonel in the Donop Regiment; January 15, 1655 adjoint official resignation of the Stromberg office . In 1656 Dietrich Hermann von Nagel acquired the Vornholz house . In 1675 he destroyed the Nienburg on the orders of Prince-Bishop Christoph Bernhard von Galen and arrested its owner. In 1697 his family bought the land in Nienburg and the Keuschenburg house .
