Dilaver Güçlü (born February 20, 1986 in Velbert ) is a German - Turkish soccer player .

Career

Güçlü was born as the son of Turkish immigrants in Velbert and began playing football here as a youth at Borussia Dortmund . Then he came to the youth team at VfL Bochum via the youth department of Wuppertaler SV Borussia . In 2005 he was accepted into the VfL Bochum II squad and played here as a regular for the next four years.

For the 2009/10 season he had an offer from the first division club Manisaspor in Turkey . Güçlü accepted it and moved to his parents' homeland. Here he was more of a reservist for a season and a half and only played sporadically. Güçlü left the club in winter 2010 and switched to the TFF 1st Lig for Samsunspor . With this team he reached the championship of the TFF 1st Lig at the end of the season and thus direct promotion to the Süper Lig . After the rise, Güçlü was kept in the squad, but was rather neglected in the squad planning by the newly hired coach Vladimir Petković . So he moved to the second division Denizlispor for the winter break of 2011/12 . With this club he completed seven hits in 16 league games.

For the 2012/13 season he moved within the league to Göztepe Izmir . The decisive factor in the change was the fact that Güçlü had already worked successfully with coach Hüseyin Kalpar in Samsunspor . In the summer of 2013 he moved to the second division team Ankaraspor . With this club, which changed its name to Osmanlıspor FK in the summer of 2014 , he reached the runner-up in the TFF 1st Lig and thus promoted to the Süper Lig.

After the rise with Osmanlıspor FK Güçlü moved together with his teammate Ragıp Başdağ to the second division Balıkesirspor . In the winter transfer period 2016/17 he moved on to the Black Sea club Giresunspor within the TFF 1st Lig . After half a season he then moved to third division Gümüşhanespor , and in 2018 he moved again to Sakaryaspor .
