Dimitry Imbongo Boele (born March 28, 1990 in Kinshasa , Zaire ) is a French - Congolese football player . He is now under contract with FC Lahti in Finland

Career

Imbongo, whose parents come from France and the Congo , was born in Zaire and grew up in Nanterre , France , where he also started playing football in his home club. For soccer he moved to Germany to play for the second team of TSV 1860 Munich , with whom he made 44 regional league appearances with 12 goals from 2009 to 2011 . After he had already completed three games in the 2011/12 season for the reserve team, he moved to third division club SV Darmstadt 98 , for which he played his first third division game against Wacker Burghausen on September 10, 2011 . The striker failed to score in 13 third division games, so the club separated from him at the end of the season.

In the summer of 2012 he moved to New England Revolution in Major League Soccer . After a guest appearance at the Colorado Rapids from November 2014 to February 2015, Imbongo moved to the second Austrian division for Kapfenberger SV . In February 2016, he switched to league competitor LASK . After promotion to the Bundesliga , he left the club after the 2016/17 season. In October 2017 he moved to the second division club FC Wacker Innsbruck , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2018. After promotion to the Bundesliga, he left Innsbruck for the 2018/19 season.

In August 2018 he moved to Germany to the regional league team Alemannia Aachen , for whom he scored eleven times in 27 games and with whom he ended up sixth.

A year later, the attacker signed a one-year contract with third division club SG Sonnenhof Großaspach . After 18 league appearances and three goals and assists (second-best, team-internal value) in the first half of the season, he did not travel to the training camp with the rest of the squad during the winter break and received the approval from the club to look for a new club. Decisive for the decision were "[not] only sporting reasons". A little later the contract was terminated. On January 21, 2020 Imbongo signed a one-year contract with the Finnish first division club FC Lahti .
