Dirk Elbrächter (born November 11, 1972 in Düsseldorf ) is a German television presenter . He became known to a wide audience through moderating the knowledge magazine Planet Wissen and as a field reporter for Premiere / Sky .

Life

Dirk Elbrächter studied German , English and education at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf . He wrote his thesis on “The Language of Sports Reporting on German Television from 1950 to the Present” .

In his school days, Elbrächter worked as an editor for local sports at the Neuss-Grevenbroicher Zeitung and in 1996, during his studies, he switched to the Westdeutsche Zeitung in Düsseldorf, where he worked as a freelance editor for local sports.

Radio

In 1997 he worked for the first time as a presenter at the local broadcaster Antenne Düsseldorf and as a live reporter for NE-WS 89.4 . From 1998 he also worked as a freelance writer for Deutsche Welle in Cologne and from 2000 as an editor for the youth broadcaster Eins Live . In 2002 he switched to the Hessian broadcaster HR3 as a freelance editor , and since 2013 he has worked there as Chief of Service (CvD).

In the course of his studies, Elbrächter completed various internships , including in the news desk of RTL and the sports desk of Premiere. After completing his studies, in 2000 he initially worked as head of duty and live moderator at NBC-GIGA in the “Netbeat” category. Through his moderation (2002 to 2005) at the knowledge magazine Planet Wissen in the WDR , which was awarded the Grimme Online Award in 2004 and as a field reporter (since 2005) and process editor in the Bundesliga at Premiere / Sky, he was then also a broad Known to the public.
