Dirk Hecht
Dirk Hecht (born December 1, 1968 in Hanover ) is a German prehistorian and archivist . His research on the settlement system of corded ceramics brought completely new insights.
Life
From 1993, Dirk Hecht studied Prehistory and Early History , Near Eastern Archeology and Classical Archeology at the University of Heidelberg. He completed his studies with a master's thesis on the end-Neolithic settlement of the Atzelberg near Ilvesheim . With the publication of the work, a monograph on cord ceramic settlement material from Germany is available for the first time. In 2005, Hecht received his doctorate on "Corded Ceramic Settlements in Southern Central Europe".
During his studies and afterwards, Hecht took part in numerous excavations at home and abroad. B. Ain Ghazal , Göbekli Tepe , Hujayrat al Ghuzlan , Sirwah . From 1996 to 2009 Hecht worked as a freelance worker at the Reiss Engelhorn Museums in Mannheim.
Dirk Hecht has been head of the Schriesheim City Archives since 2009 . There he dedicates himself particularly to the electronic indexing of the holdings and the communication of history. Since 2014 he has also been the community archivist of Edingen-Neckarhausen , where he is entrusted with the development and reorganization of the community archive.
