Dirk Pilz (* 1972 in Rodewisch ; † November 2, 2018 in Berlin ) was a German literary scholar , theater critic and journalism teacher .

Career

Mushroom studied from 1993 to 2000 German / literature, philosophy and psychology in Potsdam , Berlin and Copenhagen and was established in 2005 in Potsdam with a by Helmut John and Helmut Whip supervised work on the aesthetics theory to Dr. phil. PhD.

After that he was u. a. works as a theater and non-fiction critic for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung and the Berliner Zeitung . From 2003 to 2007 he was editor of the monthly magazine Theater der Zeit . In 2007 he was co-founder and since then editor and shareholder of the internet portal for theater criticism and theater reporting Nachtkritik.de . From 2011 to 2013 he was the features editor of the DuMont editorial group of the Berliner Zeitung and the Frankfurter Rundschau . Since then he has been the author of the Berliner Zeitung and the Frankfurter Rundschau; He was primarily concerned with German-language spoken theater as well as with religion and intellectual history. Dirk Pilz died in November 2018 at the age of 46 from complications from cancer in Berlin. He left behind his wife and two children.
