Dirk Schröer

Dirk Schröer (born October 7, 1975 in Stuttgart ) is a German chef .

Life

Schröer completed his training from 1992 to 1996 in the hotel "Nassauer Hof" in Wiesbaden and there in the restaurant "Die Ente von Lehel" and in 1997 switched to the "Köhlerstube" in the hotel "Traube-Tonbach" in Baiersbronn . After completing his military service, he went back to the "Ente von Lehel" from 1998 to 2000. He then worked until 2004 at Tantris in Munich under Hans Haas as chef de partie. From 2005 to 2006 he was Sous Chef at Joachim Wissler's three-star restaurant “Vendôme” in Bensberg .

From 2006 to 2013 he was head chef at the “Caroussel” in the “Bülow Residenz” in Dresden , where he was awarded a Michelin star from the start . From April 2013 until the end of 2016, Schröer cooked in Schwarzenstein Castle in Geisenheim .

In spring 2017 he switched to the restaurant at Schloss Johannisberg .

Dirk Schröer and Amila Begic have been running the “Weinschänke Schloss Groenesteyn” in Kiedrich since 2018. The restaurant received a star from the Michelin Guide in its first year.
