Dirk Seliger

Dirk Seliger (* 1970 in Sonneberg ) is a German writer , fabulous poet , illustrator , comic book author and teacher .

Life

Seliger studied German and art at the Erfurt / Mühlhausen University of Education and the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena . In the early 1990s, he briefly began publishing cartoons in the daily Freie Wort . Since the late 1990s he has been working for RAABE Fachverlag for the school and is active as a teacher.

While his own publications appeared in book format at the beginning of 2001, Seliger increasingly turned to the medium of comics from the end of the 2000s.

Seliger's work ranges from prose texts in various literary genres to poetry, book illustration, graphics, design, cartoon and specialist articles to drawing comics and the work of a scenarioist. Furthermore, Seliger works as an editor and proofreader.

Seliger is currently working with Jan Suski on both comic projects Luzian Engelhardt and Gambert (since 2017). In 2014 he also started another comic series with the artist Stefan Pede under the pseudonym Pegasau, entitled The Last Goblin .
