Jan Suski

Jan Suski (born October 28, 1964 in Wittenberg ) is a German graphic artist , comic artist and illustrator .

Life

Suski studied at the Konrad Wolf Academy of Film and Television in Potsdam-Babelsberg and after graduating in 1989 initially worked as a cartoon animator for East German television in the Sandmannstudio in Berlin-Mahlsdorf . He then worked briefly as a freelance animator in the DEFA - Trickfilmstudio Dresden under the direction of Lutz Stützner , before working as an animator and computer graphic artist at ILFO film, TV and music production in Bad Homburg from 1992 to 1995. In 1996 Jan Suski started working as an art director for an advertising agency. He also worked as a graphic designer and illustrator, for example. B. for Ferrero Frankfurt / M., GABA GmbH, Colgate and others.

Suski's repertoire is extremely varied. His drawing style is inspired by Franco-Belgian classics. He himself admits his fascination for comic artists like Binet, Jean-Claude Fournier and André Franquin .

Suski's work for the " Mosaik " fan scene and MosaPedia achieved great popularity .

Suski is currently working with Dirk Seliger on both comic projects Luzian Engelhardt and Gambert (since 2017).
