Dirk Windgassen (born January 16, 1964 in Leverkusen ), also known by his stage name Deutscher W. , is a German television producer , actor and musician . He is the singer of the three bands OHL , Der Fluch and Projekt Mensch .

Life

As an actor

Dirk Windgassen studied psychology and media communication at the University of Trier . After completing his studies, he worked in various functions for RTL , ProSieben and VOX , including the talk shows by Bärbel Schäfer and Hans Meiser , and at We are Family! This is how Germany and Die Einrichter live . He was also a reporter for Explosiv - Das Magazin and was executive producer on Guildo Horn's talk show Guildo and its guests .

From 2012 to 2013 he played the social worker Dirk Wolf in the pseudo-docu-soap Die Schulermittler .

As a musician

Under the pseudonym "Deutscher W." (the W stands for "resistance") he is a founding member and singer of the bands OHL (founded in 1980), Der Fluch (from 1981) and Projekt Mensch (around 2007). Especially because of the war optics of earlier OHL releases as well as the game with more conservative and military lyrics and the release on the Rock-O-Rama label (but before it made a name for itself mainly through right-wing rock releases) it often becomes the so-called "gray area" “ Assigned to the punk scene.
