Dirk Wolf (born August 4, 1972 in Marburg ) is a German football player and coach .

Club career

Growing up in Argenstein , Dirk Wolf began his football career with the local SC Roth / Argenstein (today: FSG Südkreis) before he moved to VfL Marburg as a teenager .

His first station as a professional player was Eintracht Frankfurt , where he played from 1991 to 1995 and again in the 1997/98 season. In between, he spent two years at Borussia Mönchengladbach . From 1998 to 2000 the then second division FC St. Pauli , from the beginning of 2002 to 2003 the upper division FSV Frankfurt was his employer.

Between 2003 and 2006 Wolf played at SV Darmstadt 98 in the Regionalliga Süd , and since 2006 at Germania Ober-Roden . After the rise of Ober-Roden in the Oberliga Hessen, he worked there as a coach until October 2007. In the second half of the 2007/08 season Wolf was a player assistant coach for the 2nd team of SV Darmstadt 98, which played in the Landesliga Hessen Süd, in close cooperation with coach Živojin Juškić . Since the 2008/09 season, Wolf has been the sole coach of SV Darmstadt 98 II, whose team now plays in the Association League South. With his former player and coach colleague, he has been active at TS Ober-Roden for several years. Since the 2016/2017 season he has been assisting the new first team coach, Daniel Nister, as an assistant coach.

Balance sheet

Wolf was on the field in 49 Bundesliga games and 72 games in the 2nd Bundesliga. He got a total of four hits, all in the 2nd division. He also played a quarter-final match in the UEFA Cup .

Others

During his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolf set a temporary record when he went unbeaten in 22 games from his Bundesliga debut on October 11, 1991 to August 28, 1994. This record was exceeded 14 years later by Michael Rensing , who left the field 27 times without defeat, replacing Wolf as the best Bundesliga debutante.
