Disney's Hollywood Studios
Disney's Hollywood Studios is a theme park in Walt Disney World near Orlando , Florida , USA . As the third theme park, it was opened on May 1, 1989 as Disney-MGM Studios , with a special television program commissioned by NBC entitled The Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park Grand Opening being broadcast on the same day . The park was renamed in early 2008. With an estimated 11.5 million visitors, the park was the ninth most visited theme park in the world in 2019.

Hollywood Boulevard
When you enter the park, you come across a replica of Hollywood Boulevard .
Echo Lake
Echo Lake is a small lake near the magic hat, around it you can find the following attractions:
- Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular - A 30-minute stunt show with Indiana Jones
In addition to the attractions, Echo Lake also offers four restaurants and the second “Party Zone” of the Block Party Bash Parade .
Grand Avenue
The following attractions can be found here:
- Muppet Vision 3D - A 3D film with the Muppets as stars.
There are also three restaurants; including the pizza planet known from the movie Toy Story 2 .

Pixar Place and Toy Story Land
Pixar Place opened in May 2008, based on the film Toy Story . Toy Story Midway Mania is a 4-D adventure game that adapts to the skills of the players.
In 2015, the Toy Story Land theme park opened .
Sunset Boulevard
There are five restaurants and the following attractions on Sunset Boulevard:
- Beauty and the Beast - Live on Stage - A Broadway- like live performance of Beauty and the Beast .
- Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith - A roller coaster that accelerates to around 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds.
- Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - A kind of free fall tower in the dark with occasional views of the whole park.
- Fantasmic - A show with water fountains, fireworks, and special effects performed at least twice a week.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge
The Star Wars themed area Star Wars Galaxy's Edge opened on August 29, 2019. There are various shops and the following attractions include:
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run - An interactive flight simulator in which passengers control the spaceship Millennium Falcon .
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance - A Darkride themed with a fight against the First Order.

Visitors
Disney's Hollywood Studios had approximately 11.3 million visitors in 2018. In comparison, the park was ranked 5th among the theme parks with the most visitors in North America and 9th worldwide. Compared to the other parks at Walt Disney World Resort , Disney's Hollywood Studios is the park with the fewest visitors. Between 2006 and 2014, the average number of visitors was 9.7 million visitors per year.

Special events
Fantasmic
Fantasmic is a dark show and night show from Disney's Hollywood Studios. Currently (April 2009) it is taking place at least twice a week, on days with an expected particularly high number of visitors there is an extra performance. Mickey battles many evil Disney characters and a dragon on this show. The end is crowned by a small fireworks display and a boat that goes around the stage with the most famous Disney characters.
High School Musical 2: Schools Out live show
" High School Musical " live shows took place in front of the magic hat at irregular intervals until the end of 2008 . Many performers dance and sing on a moving stage.
Star Wars Weekends
The annual “ Star Wars Weekends”, which always take place between the end of May and June on four weekends, are very popular . For this purpose, the park is divided into the light and dark side of power, in which the corresponding characters move and are available for the meet & greet.
Former actors from the Star Wars films are also available there for photos and autographs , and a special Star Wars parade is being held. Special fan articles are also sold.
Mickey (as Jedi accompanied by R2-MK, the Disney variant of the little robot R2-D2), Donald as Stormtrooper, Goofy as Darth Vader and Minnie as Princess Leia appear dressed up as Star Wars characters.
At the beginning of each of these days, a special show with Star Wars characters is offered at the entrance to the studios and every evening at the Jedi Academy, in addition to Star Tours, there is a fun dance competition of various Star Wars characters with the title "Hyper Space Hoopla".
