Distorted Reality is a music project by Martha M. Hoffmann and Christian Kobusch that combines modern electro-pop with electroclash and breakbeat elements.

Band history

Martha M. Hoffmann ( Miami , USA) and Christian Kobusch ( Bielefeld , Germany ) founded Distorted Reality in 1997. The demo from 1998 was soon played on radio broadcasts in Europe and the USA.

The debut - album The fine line between Love and Hate in 2001 together with Bruno Kramm ( Das Ich produced) and in spring 2002 with remixes among others propaganda and qcqc sabotage on Accession Records published. The annual survey on Grenzwellen.de brought Distorted Reality 4th place in the category "Newcomer of the Year 2002".

In spring 2003 the US version of The fine Line between love and hate was released on Nilaihah Records with additional remixes , including by Assemblage 23 , Forma Tadre and cut.rate.box .

Appearances at the 12th and 14th Wave-Gotik-Treffen (2003, 2005) followed and in October 2005 at the Electronic Pleasures 3 Festival ( Berlin ).

From 2004 to spring 2006 Hoffmann and Kobusch worked with producer Andreas Meyer ( Forma Tadre ) on the current album Daydreams and Nightmares , for which bands such as In Strict Confidence , Haujobb , Das Ich , Dust of Basement and Agonoize contributed remixes . Daydreams and Nightmares .
