Dlouhá (Hradiště)

Dlouhá (German Langgrün ) is a desert in the south of the Hradiště military training area in Okres Karlovy Vary , Czech Republic .

Dlouhá extended at the southern foot of the Vysoká pláň ( High Egge , 890 m nm) and the Plešivec ( Plesselberg , 842 m nm) on the Burgstadtler mass ( Hradišťská hornatina ) of the Duppauer Mountains in the valley of the Lomnický potok . To the northeast rises the Javorná or U Ruské věže ( Ehacker , 912 m nm), to the east the Jelení komora (787 m nm), in the southeast the Valovský vrch (761 m nm), south the Kostelní Hůrka ( Kirchberg , 793 m nm) and the Roháč (728 m nm).

Surrounding places were Stará Ves ( Altdorf ) in the north, Doupovské Mezilesí ( Olitzhaus ) in the northeast, Hradiště ( Höfe ) and Javorná ( Ohorn ) in the east, Horní Valov ( Ober Wohlau ) and Dolní Valov ( Unter Wohlau ) in the southeast, Kostelní Hůrka ( Am Berge ) and Bražec ( Bergles ) in the south, Horní Tašovice ( Taschwitz ) in the south-west, Stružná ( Gießhübel ) and Žalmanov ( Sollmus ) in the west and Činov ( Schönau ) in the north-west.

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1378. Langgrün belonged to Hartenštejn Castle from around 1480 to 1570 , and then to Andělská Hora Castle until 1622 , with two farms not being added until 1581. Langgrün was part of Gießhübel from 1622 until the abolition of patrimonial rule in 1848 .

Until 1848 it belonged to the Saaz district and from 1848 to 1938 to the judicial district of Buchau and the district of Luditz . In 1939 the community belonged to the Luditz district . It had a population of 738 and was one of the larger communities in the district. It housed a chapel. The church records took place in Bergles . After the end of the Second World War , the German population was expelled. In 1955 it lost the status of a place. Then the area was declared a military zone and completely destroyed during military exercises. Today Dlouhá is a military residence of the military training area.
