Domata Uluaifaasau Peko (born November 27, 1984 in Los Angeles , California ) is a Samoan American American football player on the position of defensive tackles . He last played with the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Peko first attended the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita , California , then moved to Michigan State University and played college football for their team, the Spartans . He gained particular popularity when he was able to achieve a 74-yard touchdown against arch-rivals, the Michigan Wolverines, after a fumble from Chad Henne . Still, the game was lost in overtime .

NFL

In the NFL Draft 2006 he was selected in the 4th round as a total of 123rd player by the Cincinnati Bengals . Already in his rookie year he ran in all games; in the following season he was able to establish himself as a starter .

In addition to his traditional position - he has been a long-time captain of the defense - Peko is also used as a fullback in some cases .

He holds the franchise record in this regard with 107 games in uninterrupted order .

Peko's older brother Tupe also played in the NFL for some time. He was under contract with several teams, but actually only played games for the Indianapolis Colts .

On March 11, 2017, he signed a two-year deal with the Denver Broncos . He was released after the 2018 season.

In November 2019, Peko signed the Baltimore Ravens .
