Domenico Vacchiano (born September 2, 1914 in Cicciano ; † May 24, 2001 ibid) was the prelate of Pompei .

Life

Domenico Vacchiano was ordained a priest on August 1, 1937 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Cassano all'Ionio on January 17, 1970 . The Bishop of Nola , Adolfo Binni , donated him episcopal ordination on March 1st of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Antonio Cece , Bishop of Aversa , and Matteo Guido Sperandeo , Bishop of Calvi e Teano . As a motto he chose In caritate fundati . The Pope appointed him on March 30, 1978 prelate of Pompei o Beatissima Vergine Maria del Santissimo Rosario and on November 14, 1987 awarded him the dignity of archbishop ad personam .

On October 13, 1990, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
