Dominik Werling (born December 13, 1982 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German soccer player .
Career
Werling comes from the youth of SV Waldhof Mannheim and came in the 2001/02 season to first appearances in the reserve team in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg . In 2002 he moved to Arminia Bielefeld's second team before moving to regional division 1. FC Union Berlin in 2004 . After a few missions at the beginning of the season, he was suspended by coach Werner Voigt at the end of October and only returned to the first team for the second half of the season . In March 2005 he terminated his contract with Union Berlin by mutual agreement, as he no longer saw any prospects for himself.
The 2005/06 season he played at TSV Crailsheim , in September 2006 he was temporarily placed with Bayern league club SpVgg Bayern Hof . In early 2007 Werling signed a contract with the relegation-threatened Turkish first division club Sakaryaspor, but did not come to any league use there. In the summer break of 2007 Werling completed a trial training at Newcastle United and subsequently received an offer from the English second division club Barnsley . Until the winter break, the left-back was part of the team, but an extension of his contract failed due to the salary demands and so he returned to Sakaryaspor for the second half of the season.
For the 2008/09 season Werling signed a contract with the third division club Erzgebirge Aue , but his contract there was dissolved again in October.
In January 2009 he signed a half-year contract with English third division club Huddersfield Town , which was not renewed at the end of the season.
For the 2010/11 season he signed a one-year contract with Darlington FC, who had just been relegated from Football League Two , but followed his then coach Simon Davey to Hereford United and back to League Two in September 2010 . The amicable separation was announced in February 2011. Since then, Werling has been considered to be without a club in terms of professional football.
In the 2012/13 season Werling played in the amateur area of the South West German Football Association at SV Scheibenhardt (1st district class South Palatinate East) and then at FC 08 Homburg . From July 2014 to 2015 he played for the Swedish club Ange IF, in 2016/17 for SV Rülzheim. In the 2017/18 season he was player-coach at Karlsruher FV . In the summer of 2018 he became player-coach at TSV Dürrenbüchig. In the winter of 2019 he became a coach at SV Schwarz-Weiß Mühlburg. In summer 2019 he joined FC Espanol Karlsruhr II as a player-coach. In summer 2020 he switched to SV Nordwest Karlsruhe as a player.
