Dominik von Acht

Dominik vonhaben (born December 26, 1965 in Munich ) is a German manager, has been a member of the HeidelbergCement Management Board since 2007 and chairman since February 1, 2020 (successor to Bernd Scheifele in this position).

Life

After studying law and economics at the Universities of Freiburg and Munich , vonuchten passed the second state examination and initially worked as an assessor at the Munich Higher Regional Court and the Traunstein Regional Court . In 1996 he received his doctorate in economic policy with the dissertation Die Treuhandanstalt and the market in the new federal states .

From 1996 he worked as a consultant for Boston Consulting , where he became the responsible partner and managing director. In this function, he designed the win savings program for Heidelberg Cement in 2005, and was appointed to the board in 2007. There he was initially responsible for the UK division and carried out the successful integration of the British building materials company Hanson . In 2009 he was responsible for the North American business and since 2016 for Western and Southern Europe as well as for the group-wide coordination of the Competence Center Materials. In 2015 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and had been Chief Digital Officer from 2017 until he took over as Chairman of the Management Board on February 1, 2020.

Dominik vonhaben has been President of the Federal Association of Building Materials - Stones and Earths as well as a member of the BDI presidency and a member of the supervisory board in various European companies since 2016 .

Private

Dominik vonuchten is married and has four children.
