Donald Charles Cameron (Colonial Governor)
Sir Donald Charles Cameron GCMG KBE (born June 3, 1872 in Georgetown , † January 8, 1948 in London ) was a British administrator in colonies.
biography
Cameron was the son of a father of the same name and his wife Isabela Allison Mann. In 1903 he married Gertrude Gittens. Their son Geoffrey Valentine emerged from the marriage.
Cameron was the second governor of Tanganyika from March 5, 1925 to January 1931 . He was temporarily represented in this capacity in 1929 by Sir Douglas James Jardine . On June 17, 1931, he took the post as governor of Nigeria . He held this office until November 1, 1935.
