Donald Bertrand Tresidder (born April 7, 1894 in Tipton , Indiana , † January 28, 1948 in New York City ) was an American doctor and business manager who was President of Stanford University from 1943 to 1948 .

Life

After attending school, Tresidder studied at Stanford University, where he initially earned a Bachelor of Arts (AB) in 1919 . A subsequent postgraduate study of medicine at Stanford University, he finished in 1927 with a Medical Doctor (MD).

He was then President of Yosemite Park & ​​Curry Co. between 1929 and 1943, but remained associated with Stanford University and was President of the University's Board of Trustees . Most recently he was President of Stanford University from 1943 until his death.
