Dony (born November 20, 1981 in Brașov ; actually Cornel Donici ) is a Romanian singer .

Career

From 2003 to 2008 Dony formed the Danceduo Refflex with Cristian Dumitrescu . Then they went their separate ways and Dony joined Adi Cristian Colceru aka David Deejay . Their first number together, Sexy Thing , immediately became a number one hit in Romania. The following year, So Bizzare was another number one hit . Both songs could also be placed in the Netherlands . More singles followed and even a joint album .

Further successful collaborations with other Romanian artists followed. In 2012 Dony teamed up with the singer Elena , who had also become internationally known as the representative of Romania at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest . Their song Hot Girls was published by Sony Music in German-speaking countries and used by the show taff in ProSieben . It then entered the charts in Germany and Austria .
