History and architecture

The fieldstone building from the end of the 13th century has a tower of the same width. The building originally served as a fortified church. The tower was accessed from the ship via a staircase leading to the upper floor. The originally baroque tower tower was replaced in 1988 by the current tower roof. In the west side of the transverse church tower there is a pointed arched gate. About two meters above there are three white panels. There are no windows in the upper part of the tower. The step portal on the west side is ogival, two further portals structure the south wall. In the south and west walls, as well as in the gable of the east side, there are twin panels on capital consoles. The walls are divided by slender lancet windows, to the east there is a group of three windows that were modified at the end of the 19th century. The vestibule on the south side was added at the end of the 19th century.

Furnishing

The uniform neo-Gothic wooden furnishings were made in the 19th century

  • A lectern from 1775 is remarkable.
  • The pulpit is equipped with a sound cover.
  • The resurrection of Christ is shown on the altarpiece; angels with white wings flank the scene on both sides.
  • An old hand mill is walled up as a holy water font next to the priest's gate.
