history

The seven-meter-wide and 16-meter-long church with a roof turret has the choir with a three-eighth closure in the east . Windows framed in sandstone - three on the south side and two in the north - were installed in 1837 as part of a renovation due to the risk of collapse.

The original seven-meter-long hall church from the 12th century ends with an apse . Your damaged arch in the interior was broken off.

Around 1500 a larger chancel with a three-sided closure was added to the east at this point of the broken apse . A small arched window on the narrow south side was added as part of the renovation in 1601. The roof slope from yesteryear can still be seen. With the new roof structure , a new, raised beam ceiling with framed beam fields was installed.

In 1815 the new entrance porch was built on the west side. This was followed by the installation of the surrounding galleries , into which the pulpit was built in the east . In the same year the church received a new stucco ceiling with the text "Glory to God in the highest" and a dove of the Holy Spirit in a halo .

In 1900 the church was painted over. The painting from 2006 reflects the color scheme from 1837.

An organ procured in Dornheim in 1837 is on the west gallery. The space behind the altar wall serves as the sacristy .
