Beutelsdorf is a district of the municipality of Uhlstädt-Kirchhasel in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .
Geography and geology
A funnel-shaped extension of the Saale valley behind Zeutsch in a north-west direction leads to Beutelsdorf in the Hexengrund, which has its name origin in the viticulture that has been practiced for centuries on the southern slopes of the valley. The mountains to the right and left belong to the Saale-Ilm-Platte and are shell limestone weathered soils that are remote from the groundwater . The valleys are floodplains that stand in undulating plains. In terms of traffic, the place is connected to the state road 2391.
Neighboring towns are the city of Orlamünde to the northeast, Zeutsch to the east , Uhlstädt to the south and Röbschütz to the northwest .
history
