Beutelsdorf is a district of the city of Herzogenaurach in the Bavarian district of Erlangen-Höchstadt .

geography

Beutelsdorf is a heap path village . The Bimbachgraben rises to the west of Beutelsdorf and then flows through the village. This flows as a left tributary east into the Bimbach , which is later absorbed by the Regnitz in Erlangen . In the northwest lie the Beutelsdorf ponds. Otherwise, the place is immediately surrounded by arable land and grassland. In the south the corridor is called Auracher Weg. Approx. 0.5 km further east, north and west, the corridor is surrounded by a contiguous forest area, called Hammerbacher Wald in the north-west and Oberholz in the north-east.

The district road ERH 25 runs to Haundorf (1.7 km east) or to Hammerbach to state road 2263 (3.2 km west). The district road ERH 14 runs to the state road 2244 near Herzogenaurach (1.5 km southwest) or to Untermembach (2.7 km north).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1348 in the Bamberg Urbar . The defining word of the place name is the personal name "Butili". A person of this name can be accepted as the founder of the settlement. The bishopric was the feudal lord . As can be seen from the certificate, part of the tithe was sold to the Nuremberg patrician Konrad Groß , the founder of the Nuremberg Heilig-Geist-Spital . His claims were transferred to the hospital. The other tenth share was subordinate to the Bamberg caste office in Herzogenaurach .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 7 properties in Beutelsdorf. The high court exercised the Bamberg center office Herzogenaurach . The village and township government had the box office Herzogenaurach held. The landlords were the caste office in Herzogenaurach (5 estates) and the Forchheim hospital (2 estates). In 1799 there were 6 properties, one of which was owned by Forchheim Hospital as the landlord.

As part of the municipal edict, Beutelsdorf was assigned to the Hammerbach tax district, which was formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community Haundorf founded in 1818 .

On January 1, 1974, Beutelsdorf was incorporated into the city of Herzogenaurach as part of the regional reform .

Architectural monuments

One of the sights in Beutelsdorf is the Catholic chapel in Beutelsdorf , a neo-Gothic hall with a gable roof with a three-sided end and roof turret, which was built in 1898 with donations from nine farmers. Once a year the chapel is a stopover for the corridor procession of the parish of St. Magdalena . Another attraction is the torture column , which is also under monument protection , a rectangular base with a bulbous column and a four-sided attachment made of sandstone from the 17th century.
