The Krebsbach (called Schleifmühlbach in the lower reaches) flows through the village and flows into the Middle Aurach in Herzogenaurach as a right tributary . The defining word of the place name is the personal name Zwival . A person of this name can be assumed to be the founder of the settlement. Towards the end of the 18th century there were 11 properties in Zweifelsheim. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Fraischvogteiamt Emskirchen-Hagenbüchach .
