geography

The Krebsbach (called Schleifmühlbach in the lower reaches) flows through the village and flows into the Middle Aurach in Herzogenaurach as a right tributary . The place is immediately surrounded by arable land and grassland with a few trees. In the southeast the field is called Erläcker, in the south Langlänge, in the west Lerchenäcker and in the northeast Tonäcker. Approx. The Vogelherd and Münchauracher Ton forest areas are 1 km to the northwest.

A communal road runs to Höfen to district road ERH 13 (0.9 km northeast) or to Pirkach to district road NEA 8 / FÜ 7 (2.8 km south-west). Further communal roads lead to Mausdorf to NEA 20 (2.1 km west) and to Puschendorf to NEA 8 / FÜ 7 (2.5 km south).

history

The type of settlement of the street village and the block corridor suggest that it was founded in the High Middle Ages . In 1348 the place was first mentioned in the Bamberg Urbar as "Zweivelsheim". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Zwival . A person of this name can be assumed to be the founder of the settlement. At that time, part of the tithe was pledged to Konrad Groß , the founder of the Nuremberg Heilig-Geist-Spital . Until the 17th century this hospital held ten shares.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 11 properties in Zweifelsheim. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Fraischvogteiamt Emskirchen-Hagenbüchach . The landlords were the Brandenburg-Bayreuth monastery in Frauenaurach (2 quarter yards) and Nuremberg patricians : von Ebner (1 half yard), von Geuder (2 half yards), von Imhoff (1 yard, 3 Gütlein, 1 house), von Tucher (1 yard). The village and township government was ganerblich exercised in rotation by the landlords.

In 1810 Zweifelsheim came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict , the place was assigned to the Hagenbüchach tax district formed in 1811 . In 1813 the rural community of Puschendorf was formed, to which Zweifelsheim belonged. With the Second Community Edict (1818), the rural community Zweifelsheim was formed, to which Höfen belonged.

The municipality of Zweifelsheim was under the administration and jurisdiction of the Markt Erlbach district court and the tax office of Neustadt an der Aisch in the financial administration . On April 1, 1836, the community was assigned to the Herzogenaurach Regional Court , and finally to the Herzogenaurach Rent Office on October 1, 1847 . From 1862, Zweifelsheim was administered by the district office of Höchstadt an der Aisch (renamed the district of Höchstadt an der Aisch in 1938 ) and continued to be administered by the Rent Office Herzogenaurach (1920–1929: Finanzamt Herzogenaurach , from 1929: Finanzamt Erlangen ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Herzogenaurach until 1879, 1880–1959 district court of Herzogenaurach , from 1959 district court of Erlangen . The municipality had an area of 5.573 km².

On July 1, 1972, Zweifelsheim was incorporated into the municipality of Herzogenaurach as part of the regional reform .
