Herzogenaurach District Court

The Herzogenaurach Regional Court was an older Bavarian regional court that existed from 1812 to 1879 and was based in Herzogenaurach in the Rezat district (from 1838 Middle Franconia ).

The district court of Herzogenaurach included areas of today's district of Erlangen-Höchstadt and the independent city of Erlangen . At that time it bordered the Neustadt an der Aisch regional court in the west, the Markt Erlbach regional court in the southwest, the Cadolzburg regional court in the south, the Erlangen regional court in the east and the Höchstadt regional court and the Forchheim regional court in the north .

In 1818 there were 50 places in the Herzogenaurach Regional Court (1 town, 9 parish villages , 2 church villages , 23 villages , 9 hamlets , 1 desert and 5 mills) with a total of 8,873 inhabitants, who were spread over 1980 families and lived in 1,405 properties. It originally consisted of 10 tax districts and 22 municipalities (1 municipal and 21 rural municipalities ). In 1829 it was 5 12 miles in size and had 9,600 residents with a high proportion of Jewish population.

In 1811 the rural communities emerged. With the second community edict (1818), the rural communities received more powers. At the same time, some of the previously existing communities were split up so that there were 1 municipal and 21 rural communities:

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was established in Herzogenaurach, the district of which was formed from the district of the Herzogenaurach Regional Court, which was also repealed.
