Mittelmembach is a district of the municipality of Heßdorf in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia ( Bavaria ).
geography
Immediately northeast of the hamlet is the village of Untermembach . Both places are on the Membach, which feeds a chain of ponds and is a right tributary of the Seebach . In the west, south and east the place is surrounded by a contiguous forest area. In the west it is called Haidschlag. The Roschberg rises there.
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in 1441. The bishopric of Bamberg was the feudal lord . Fiefs were at that time Nuremberg patricians , in 1468 obviously the Bamberg Dompropstei, who sold their fief to the Lords of Stiebar , who already owned the Aisch manor . In 1738 they sold their manor, including all its belonging, to the Lords of Schönborn .
Towards the end of the 18th century there were two properties (2 courtyards) in Mittelmembach. The high court exercised the Bamberg center office Herzogenaurach . The sole landlord was the Schönborn rule in Pommersfelden .
As part of the community edict , Mittelmembach was assigned to the Hammerbach tax district formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community of Heßdorf, founded in 1818 . Two goods were subject to voluntary jurisdiction until 1848 by the Pommersfelden Patrimonial Court (until 1848).
