Eichelmühle is a district of the city of Herzogenaurach in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland was near house number 22 on Eichelmühlgasse on the Middle Aurach . Today there is a parking lot in its place.

history

In the Bamberg land register , three mills were mentioned in 1348, which should belong to the office of Herzogenaurach with all rights, probably meaning the corner , acorn and Heinrich mill. In 1399 the place was first mentioned by name as "Eychelmül".

At the end of the 18th century, Eichelmühle consisted of an estate. The high court exercised the Bamberg center office Herzogenaurach . The landlord of the mill was the Bamberg caste office in Herzogenaurach . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Bayreuth, Eichelmühle was given house number 211 in the village of Herzogenaurach.

As part of the municipal edict, Eichelmühle was assigned to the Herzogenaurach tax district formed in 1811 . It also belonged to the municipality of Herzogenaurach, which was founded in 1818.

The mill in Eichelmühlgasse has been open since 1970 at the latest. Also in 1987 it is still referred to as a wasteland that has risen in the Herzogenaurach district. Accordingly, the property was only demolished after 1987.
