Dondörflein is a district of the city of Herzogenaurach in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

geography

Immediately south of the village flows the Tonweihergraben, which flows 500 meters further east with the Krebsgraben to form the Schleifmühlbach, which in Herzogenaurach flows as a right tributary into the Mittlere Aurach . The place is in the open; The Klinge corridor borders in the northeast, and the Tonäcker in the southwest. Approx. The Münchauracher Ton forest area begins 0.5 km to the west.

history

The place name means "little village in the fir forest". The place was originally under the bishopric of Bamberg . As early as the 14th century, Nuremberg patricians were mentioned as fiefdoms .

At the end of the 18th century there were 8 properties in Dondörflein. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Fraischvogteiamt Emskirchen-Hagenbüchach . The landlords were the Bamberg office of Herzogenaurach (2 quarter yards) and Nuremberg patricians: von Ebner (2 half yards), von Imhoff (2 quarter yards), von Tucher (2 eighth yards). The village and township government has since 1690 ganerblich exercised by the landlords every two years.

As part of the municipal edict, Dondörflein was assigned to the Münchaurach tax district formed in 1811 . It belonged to the rural community of Falkendorf, founded in 1813 .

On January 1, 1972, Falkendorf was incorporated into the newly formed municipality of Aurachtal as part of the regional reform . On May 1, 1978 Dondörflein was umgemeindet to Herzogenaurach .

The inhabitants were originally Catholic and parish to St. Magdalena (Herzogenaurach) . Since the 19th century there have also been residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination who are parish to St. Peter and Paul (Münchaurach) .
