Dondörflein is a district of the city of Herzogenaurach in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

geography

Immediately south of the village flows the Tonweihergraben, which flows 500 meters further east with the Krebsgraben to form the Schleifmühlbach, which in Herzogenaurach flows as a right tributary into the Mittlere Aurach . The place name means "little village in the fir forest". The place was originally under the bishopric of Bamberg . As early as the 14th century, Nuremberg patricians were mentioned as fiefdoms .

The inhabitants were originally Catholic and parish to St. Magdalena (Herzogenaurach) . Since the 19th century there have also been residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination who are parish to St. Peter and Paul (Münchaurach) .
