Hauptendorf is a district of the city of Herzogenaurach in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is located south of the heart of Herzogenaurach. The Litzelbach flows through the village. This flows into the Schleifmühlbach on the northern outskirts and this in turn, not far to the north, as a right tributary into the Middle Aurach , on whose south bank the place is located. The municipality mountain rises north of the village ( 327  m above sea level ).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1348 in the Bamberg Urbar . The Bamberg office of Herzogenaurach held all rulership rights, taxes and validity in the place. Half of the tithe had been pledged to Konrad Groß , the founder of the Nuremberg Heilig-Geist-Spital , since 1348 . After his death, the tithe passed to this foundation. As a result of the Thirty Years War , the place became a desert . The Herzogenaurach bailiff von Püttner bought them around 1650 and had farmers settle there. In 1690 his heirs sold the place back to the office of Herzogenaurach.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 8 properties in Hauptendorf (3 estates, 4 estates, 1 shepherd's house). The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach city bailiff Langenzenn . The village and community rulership was held by the Bamberg office of Herzogenaurach , which was also the sole landlord of all properties.

As part of the community edict, Hauptendorf was assigned to the Obermichelbach tax district, formed in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community of Burgstall, founded in the same year .

On January 1, 1972, Hauptendorf was incorporated into the city of Herzogenaurach as part of the regional reform .
