Teichweiden is a district of Uhlstädt-Kirchhasel in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .
geography
Teichweiden is located north of Rudolstadt and south of Großkochberg on a hill. The Thüringenweg leads through the village and connects Rudolstadt with the Goethe hiking trail . It owes its name to three ponds in the village, which are used as extinguishing water ponds as well as for fish farming and swimming.
history
The first mention of the place dates back to the year 1330. Until 1918 the place belonged to the sovereignty of the principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt .
From 1991 to 2002 Teichweiden belonged to the Uhlstädt administrative community . When this was dissolved on July 1, 2002, Teichweiden formed the new community of Uhlstädt-Kirchhasel with ten other communities.

The historical church of the village dates back to the Middle Ages and was enlarged in the 15th century, it is known for its splendid furnishings.
Established businesses
The Teichweiden poultry farm produces the Thuringian fresh egg and other egg products such as pasta and egg liqueur.
