description

building

The church is a rectangular, Romanesque choir tower church with a rectangular tower floor above the eastern part. The porch above the western entrance and the windows date from the third quarter of the 17th century. The dividing column in the biforium of the bell chamber is dated to 1671. On the north side of the building there is a walled-up rectangular portal with walls made of Romanesque tombstones. On these are incised crosses and - on one - a crutch stick with a point.

Interior and equipment

In the choir of the church there is a barrel ceiling with stitch caps. This as well as the rural furnishings with a horseshoe gallery , pulpit and altarpiece depicting the resurrection of Christ probably date from the third quarter of the 17th century. The church organ was built in 1884. The bronze bell was cast by Nikolas Rauscher in Zeitz in 1687 .
