history

The core of the sacred building was probably built around 1300. The parish enlarged the windows and gates, probably around 1734. During this time, they also renewed the west tower - as evidenced by the weather vane . In 1912 the building shell was extensively restored, while the interior was refurbished in 1999.

architecture

clogged gate on the south side

The structure was essentially built from field stones , which were hewn and layered comparatively in layers. The gaps are filled with stone fragments and mortar. There are two windows in the south wall of the nave and another window in the south wall of the choir of the same height . These are designed in the form of segments; the bottles brightly plastered . Between the two openings on the nave there is a likewise segment-arch shaped gate, which is closed with a dark wooden door. This is also the only access to the building. To the left of the choir window, a clogged priest door can be seen. On the north side there are only two identical windows: one in the choir and another in the eastern area of the nave. The choir is straight and also made of field stones in the lower area. Here are two smaller, segment arched windows, between which the remains of a presumably originally present Three windows group to one of brick built soffit can be seen. The gable was built from smaller, unlayered and little hewn field stones. The west tower takes up the width of the nave. Its west side was built from much larger field stones; an opening is missing. In its gable, repair work can be seen on the shoulders. This is followed by a boarded-up square tower, into which two sound arcades have been embedded on the west and east sides . The pyramid roof is covered with plain tiles. It ends with a small spire with a tower ball and weather vane. The saddle roof of the nave is also covered with plain tiles.

Furnishing

The altarpiece comes from the first half of the 19th century and is decorated with baroque cheeks. The altarpiece is outsourced, according to a church leader in 2018 into a museum. In the choir there are two stained glass windows depicting apostles. The pulpit is of an older date and probably dates from the beginning of the 18th century. Further furnishings include a fifth made of sandstone from 1797 and a west gallery . The inside of the structure is flat covered.

A bell from the 15th century hangs in the tower.
